The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models are unable to. The only drawback is that the robot is known to smash into walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will show you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that allows it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
As with the other two Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to change the mopping cloth if needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor battery life. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
